Job Title: General Manager

The City of Prince Albert is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts as General Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the arts and culture community in Prince Albert.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic direction for the Centre, aligning with the Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan, the Municipal Culture Action Plan, and the Civic Arts Policy.
  • Manage Centre employees and volunteers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee the scheduling of events and programs, including Centre season shows and rentals, as well as guest shows.
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage the annual budget for the Centre.
  • Develop and implement relevant policy, ensuring compliance with City and provincial regulations.
  • Work with the Communications Division on a Centre marketing plan, promoting the Centre's events and programs.
  • Develop and maintain a Training Program for all staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Investigate and report on various issues, providing recommendations for improvement to Senior Administration and the public.
  • Develop and implement an asset management plan for the Centre, in conjunction with the Facilities Division.
  • Coordinate maintenance requirements for the Centre, working closely with the Facilities Division.
Requirements:
  • A four-year degree related to the Performing Arts, Culture, and Facility Management.
  • Experience with the Technical and Front of House requirements of a Performing Arts & Entertainment Centre.
  • Ability to develop and build strong working relationships with Elected Officials, Senior Administration, City of Prince Albert staff, Volunteers, and the Public.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Promotional Programs.
  • Working knowledge of current safety standards and their implementation.
  • Hold a Class 5 driver's license.
