Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at Wesko Locks. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, internal control, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Finance & Accounting team
  • Develop and maintain internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies
  • Collaborate with department leaders to achieve tactical and strategic company objectives
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations on areas of concern
  • Manage weekly and monthly outlook/forecast processes
  • Oversee activities such as vendor payments, customer receipts, and cash flow forecasting
  • Ensure accurate inventory and accounting controls
  • Coordinate federal, state, legal, and regulatory reporting and filings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting; CPA or CMA a plus
  • 7+ years in finance and accounting, with a preference for experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience leading and managing a department, including supervisory experience
  • Proficiency with financial software such as Hyperion HFM, JD Edwards, Infor, etc.
  • Experience managing audits and ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS, cost accounting, and systems development & implementation
  • Ability to research and analyze complex issues, providing insights and making informed decisions
  • Strong strategic-thinking skills to devise creative solutions to accounting and business issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
