About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at BENTO SUSHI. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • General Kitchen Duties: Assist with sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, and other general kitchen tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
