We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in planning, organizing, and managing the delivery of accounting services.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and advise on accounting and administrative policies and monitor policy compliance.
- Analyze operating results and develop specific recommendations to help entities address adverse trends or changes in operations.
- Prepare and review information for financial statements and for briefs to management and senior military officers.
- Provide guidance and training to employees, managers, and senior military officers on accounting/finance related topics/programs.
- Report unusual trends or activities to senior managers for further investigation and recommend revisions to existing policy, programs, and procedures to address evolving needs.
- College diploma or certificate in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in accounting, or a related field.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills and an aptitude to learn.
