Food Preparation Specialist

As a Food Preparation Specialist at Extendicare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our residents' meals. Your responsibilities will include reviewing menus, setting up equipment, and preparing food according to standardized recipes and production sheets. You will also be responsible for providing nourishments, including evening meals, and ensuring that meals are served on time and at the correct temperatures.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and implement regular and therapeutic menus
Set up equipment and supplies for food preparation
Prepare food and nourishments according to standardized recipes and production sheets
Provide for prescribed diets, including variations in texture
Ensure meals are served on time and at the correct temperatures
Monitor quality and quantity of food supplies ordered and alert Manager of problems
