We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at West-Side Ventures Ltd. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and production schedules.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all baked goods meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other members of the bakery team to achieve our goals and objectives.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Skills: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, work under pressure.

- Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers, facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
