Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Youth Worker at Youth Impact Jeunesse Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to youth in our care, while also contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A college or CEGEP diploma is required, with experience in a related field being an asset.
  • Work Site Environment: The successful candidate will be working in a child welfare setting, providing support to youth in group homes and half-way houses.
  • Tasks: The Youth Worker will be responsible for:
    • Housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Food preparation to ensure healthy and nutritious meals.
    • Providing suicide and crisis intervention support to youth in need.
    • Supervising activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
  • Security and Safety: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record check and child welfare check.
  • Personal Suitability: The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral communication skills, sound judgement, and a client-focused approach.
  • Screening Questions: The successful candidate will be required to answer the following screening questions:
    • Are you available for shift or on-call work?
    • Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?
