**Job Title:** Hydrovac Truck Operator

About the Role:

FusionTech Telecommunications Inc. is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team. As a Hydrovac Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating a hydrovac truck to excavate and install underground facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive a hydrovac truck to transport goods and materials.
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments, pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Observe excavation work to ensure underground facilities are protected.
  • Assist in constructing underground installations.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Read blueprints and drawings.
  • Read and interpret work orders.

Requirements:

  • AZ class license.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
