Job Title: Hydrovac Truck Operator

FusionTech Telecommunications Inc. is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team. As a Hydrovac Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating a hydrovac truck to excavate and install underground facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a hydrovac truck to excavate and install underground facilities
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies
  • Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
