Job Title: Veterinary Technician

Canada West Veterinary Specialists is a leading multi-disciplinary specialty referral practice with a 24-hour ERCC service. We are a team of dedicated professionals passionate about providing exceptional patient care and client satisfaction.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including radiography, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Neurology procedures and protocols
  • Perform technical nursing skills, including IV catheter placement and blood collection
  • Calculate and administer medications as directed by the Specialist
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and procedures
  • Participate in daily communication with clients and referring veterinarians
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technologist program
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • General anesthetic background is an asset
Working Hours:

8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with the possibility of Saturday shifts and on-call duties.

We offer a competitive salary range of $27.00-$36.00 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health care, dental care, and life insurance.
