Fish Processing Specialist Job Description

Thankful Too Seafood is seeking a skilled Fish Processing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our seafood processing team, you will be responsible for transporting fish and shellfish to the work area, weighing and recording the weight, and packing the fish in ice. You will also be responsible for cleaning machines and immediate work areas, sorting fish according to species, weight, and destination, and disjointing and removing meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport fish and shellfish to the work area
  • Weigh and record the weight of fish and shellfish
  • Pack fish in ice
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination
  • Disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift heavy loads
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
