Job Title: Elementary School Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Satnam Education Society of British Columbia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students in a primary school setting, developing and implementing lesson plans, and assessing student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school officials to ensure student success
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies
  • Supervise teaching assistants and train student teachers
  • Assign and correct homework, and prepare subject material for presentation
  • Lead students in activities that promote their physical, mental, and social development
  • Prepare, administer, and correct tests
  • Teach students using a variety of methods, including lessons, discussions, and field trips
Requirements:
  • Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
