Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Edmonton O-day'min Primary Care Network. As a collaborative care specialist, you will work closely with our primary care physicians to assess, treat, and manage patients' mental and behavioral health concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Treatment

Use evidence-based practice to assess patients' mental health and wellbeing, and develop effective treatment plans.

Consultation and Communication

Provide regular consultation services to primary care physicians, and communicate patient status and progress through documentation in our electronic medical record system.

Collaboration and Partnership

Develop positive working relationships with our healthcare team members and community partners to promote coordinated, quality care and access to appropriate resources for clients.

Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement

Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.

Qualifications
  • Good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
  • Prior experience working with vulnerable populations an asset
  • Compassion for clients with challenging socioeconomic and life situations
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage medical IT systems
  • Standard First Aid – Level C
  • A satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal record clearance

Commitment Levels
  • Full-time services: Monday to Friday between the hours of 8AM to 4:30PM (37.5hr workweek)
  • Part-time services: No less than 4 x 7.5 hr workdays per month (30.0hr per month)
  • Casual services: No less than 1 x 7.5 hr workday per month
