Key Responsibilities- Develop Comprehensive Solution Architecture Plans: Design and develop comprehensive solution architecture plans that align with business goals and improve current systems.
- Lead Solution Architecture Design Sessions: Lead solution architecture design sessions with both business and technical teams to ensure all proposed solutions comply with regulatory, enterprise architecture, and data management standards.
- Collaborate with Business and SMEs: Collaborate with business and subject matter experts to develop short and long-term solution strategies and evaluate existing technology environments to identify and address critical deficiencies.
- Facilitate Conversations with Stakeholders: Facilitate conversations with stakeholders, serving as a liaison between technical teams and business units, and manage expectations to guide stakeholders towards optimal solutions.
- Guide and Mentor Technical Teams: Guide and mentor technical teams, leading the establishment of best practices in architectural design and frameworks, and oversee the solution implementation of project delivery.
- Participate in Solution Governance: Participate in solution governance as a member of the Solution Architecture Review Committee (SARC) when required.
- Conduct Technical Risk and Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct technical risk and vulnerability assessments to identify operational, financial, security, brand, industry, and regulatory risks, and propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Design and Implement Enterprise Integrated Solutions: Design and implement enterprise integrated solutions to ensure seamless data flow across diverse platforms and applications, and evaluate and integrate new systems into the existing ecosystem.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science: A bachelor's degree in computer science with 7-9 years of experience, with experience designing solutions in the financial/banking sector preferred.
- Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman, and experience in cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Core Banking Platforms: Experience in core banking platforms, digital banking platforms, and open banking standards.
- Software Architecture: Extensive knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes, with considerable in-depth knowledge of information architecture principles, patterns, and modeling techniques.
- Data Models: Experience in designing data models using data architecture patterns, views (e.g., Data Lifecycle, Data Dissemination, Data Security) & tools (e.g., Erwin).
- Business Requirements: Experience analyzing and translating business requirements into long-term solutions that rely heavily on defining new data models that support novel business initiatives and/or regulatory obligations.
- Cybersecurity Principles: Awareness of cybersecurity principles and secure design practices is an asset.
- Database Management Systems: Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Project Delivery Methodologies: Knowledge of various project delivery methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, SAFe.
- Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams and stakeholders, and able to translate complex needs.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey business requirements into sustainable solutions.
