Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery of parts to customers and other dealerships.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the service and body shop departments to ensure seamless parts delivery and minimize downtime.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of parts advisors to provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Stay up-to-date with new models, technical service bulletins, and industry developments to provide expert advice to customers and colleagues.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department employees to discuss activities, goals, and challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a dealership environment, with a minimum of 1-3 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, automotive systems, and parts pricing procedures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and good driving record.
