Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Field Service Technician to join our team at Finning. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in heavy equipment maintenance to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Vital Information Management System (VIMS) data and work with a Condition Based Monitoring program to monitor trends affecting component or machine life.
  • Investigate all major component failures, review/analyze downtime reports and provide recommendations on process/operational improvements.
  • Schedule customer visits, set agendas, and write monthly reports on customer updates.
  • Send technical analysis to customers and provide recommended service options.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with supportive departments.
  • Ensure timely provision of analysis and maintenance/repair recommendations to appropriate groups.
  • Rapidly escalate machine-down situations to relevant individuals or groups.
  • Build a library of technical issues.
  • Ensure machine availability.
  • Perform regular fleet inspections, analyze inspection information, and recommend maintenance or repair activities.
Requirements:
  • A seasoned HET or significant mechanical experience.
  • Strong understanding of CBM, VIMS, PMRL/CVRI Payload Management.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a customer service role.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Contribute positively to a quality team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High flexibility and solid interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a diverse working environment.
  • Understanding of safety standards.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 based on location and experience. Benefits include competitive compensation packages, comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
