The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with experience in preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems. Additionally, they will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and supervise other workers. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

* Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
* Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
* Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
* Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
* Supervise other workers
* Estimate costs and materials
* Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Requirements:

* 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
* Permanent employment
* English as the primary language of work
* 40 hours per week
