Taxation Advisor for North American Business Units

We are seeking a highly skilled taxation advisor to ensure the compliance of our business units with indirect tax legislations in North America, including environmental taxes. This role will involve working closely with our business units to identify indirect tax risks and/or opportunities related to our North American activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that BRP complies with indirect tax legislations by collaborating with business units to identify opportunities and/or risks
- Support divisions/business units and other tax department members in handling new transactions, establishing new operational structures, and managing acquisitions
- Closely work with the business and legal departments to validate tax aspects of legal agreements involving BRP
- Provide training to departments/business units on indirect taxes
- Assist in establishing a tax audit strategy and management/coordination for consumer taxes
- Communicate indirect tax issues and legislative changes
- Assist stakeholders in understanding the application of indirect taxes by our IT systems
Requirements:
- University degree in law or accounting and a master's degree in taxation or equivalent
- A minimum of three years of experience in indirect taxes
- Fluent communication skills in English and French (written and oral)
- A proactive attitude, business acumen, and adaptability
- Comfortable working with diverse profiles, such as executive managers, administrative assistants, and professionals
- Accountable, team player, positive, curious, proactive
- A marked interest in technologies, computer systems, and processes

Location:
This role is based in Canada, but we also have locations in the United States, Mexico, Finland, Australia, and Austria. Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
