Job Opportunity

Zedd Architecture, a dynamic and growing firm in Southwestern Ontario, is seeking a skilled and experienced Architect to join our team. As a high-performance design expert, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including multi-unit residential architecture work, and contribute to the company's mission of providing exceptional design services to our clients and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a team lead/member on projects from conception to completion under the principal in charge, overseeing the coordination and implementation of consultants with contract documents.
  • Prepare and submit applications to authorities having jurisdiction for approvals, managing design and building permit/contract documents to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Undertake multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining knowledge concerning construction contracts, practices, products, codes, and technology.

Qualifications

  • OAA licensed architect with 6 – 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including expertise in Revit and fluency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and SketchUp.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and consultants as a project architect.
  • Advanced knowledge and interest in building systems, construction detailing, specifications, and contract types, with familiarity and experience with the OBC and reference documents, NFPA, ULC, ASTM, etc.
