Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist I

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist I to join our team at Royal University Hospital. As a key member of our Clinical Hematology department, you will be responsible for performing laboratory duties to detect, prevent, and manage physiological and pathological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze blood and other bodily fluids
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate test results
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologist program
  • Registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
  • Experience in a clinical hematology laboratory setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
