Job Summary

Xpera is seeking an experienced Property Field Adjuster to join our team in the GTA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in property claims adjusting, and will be responsible for investigating and resolving claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve property claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with policyholders and claimants to gather information and provide updates on claim status.
  • Use Xactimate and other technology to scope and establish quantum of damages.
  • Identify exposures and recommend reserves, investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements.
  • Provide high-level customer service to clients and insureds throughout the claims process.
  • Participate and share ownership and responsibility for after-hours customer service requirements.
  • Perform duties assigned in compliance with established work standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in property claims adjusting.
  • Access to an appropriate vehicle.
  • Full driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Adjuster's license, or currently pursuing CIP designation.
  • Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics.
  • Good investigative manner.
  • Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.
  • Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.
