Job Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Respirologist to join our team. As a key member of our Division of Respiratory Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting research, and teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to children with respiratory disorders, including those requiring sleep and home ventilation services
  • Conduct research in pediatric respiratory medicine, with a focus on advancing knowledge and improving patient outcomes
  • Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows in pediatric respiratory medicine
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families

Requirements

  • MD (or equivalent) and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent certification in pediatric respiratory medicine
  • Eligibility for a specialist license, as determined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Additional certification and/or fellowship training in sleep medicine is an asset
