Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Foreman to join our team at Brandt Tractor Ltd. As a Service Foreman, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Service Team Members
    • Directly supervise and manage a team of service leadhands, service technicians, and service writers
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure team members are equipped to perform their duties effectively
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that all work performed meets the highest standards of quality and safety
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
    • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Operations Management
    • Manage the organization and flow of work in the service department
    • Ensure that all necessary resources and equipment are available to support efficient operations
  • Cost Control and Profitability
    • Monitor and control costs to ensure profitability of the service department
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement process improvements
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of service team members
    • Provide opportunities for career advancement and professional growth
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a service department setting, preferably in the transportation industry
    • Proven track record of success in supervising and managing a team
  • Skills
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic Microsoft Office skills required
  • Education
    • Certified Journeyman in the truck and transport trade or equivalent designated trade is an asset
