Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Sunrise Farms is a leading poultry industry company with a strong focus on quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the DunnRite plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the proper performance and operation of machinery and electrical equipment for production
- Minimize production downtime by completing preventive maintenance inspections, planned work orders, and responding to breakdowns and emergency repairs in a timely and efficient manner
- Install, maintain, and repair all electrical systems and machinery at the plant
- Provide support to production in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and basic mechanical breakdowns
- Comply with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations, and standards, including GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, and MSDS
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration activities, maintaining an updated record of PM
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve maintenance operations
- Perform pre-dial electrical installations as required, adhering to the Canadian Electrical Code
- Able to perform repair, replacement, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of various equipment, including tubing, fittings, air supply, pressure devices, level switches, temperature sensors, flow meters, regulators, and valves
- Utilize the CMMS system to create work orders, update the system, close work orders, and complete maintenance reports and logs as required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Preferably electrical experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong preventive, maintenance, and troubleshooting abilities
- Must be flexible in terms of shift work
- Great knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code Book
- Great troubleshooting skills in PLC, VFDs, and motor control circuits
- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Responsible and highly adaptable to work under pressure and respond to changes
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work to manage multiple work orders and meet deadlines
- Ability to excel within a fast-paced team environment and function independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 20 kilograms required
- Must have an Interprovincial Red Seal Electrical Trade ticket
- 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role
