About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science and Modeling Expert to join our team at National Bank. As a senior member of our Models, Technology and Transformation team, you will play a key role in driving business growth through advanced data analysis and modeling techniques.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will collaborate with various partners to deliver high-impact modeling projects, develop and maintain financial crime detection models, and recommend efficient approaches for detecting financial crimes. They will also be responsible for ensuring that statistical modeling and model documentation processes meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to complete complex modeling mandates.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize financial crime detection models using advanced data analysis techniques.
  • Recommend efficient approaches for detecting financial crimes based on thorough research and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with statistical modeling and model documentation best practices.
  • Contribute to reporting and analysis activities related to combating financial crimes.
  • Support colleagues in their business needs by providing expert guidance and insights.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree completed and 6 years of relevant experience or Master's degree completed and 4 years of relevant experience in statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in modeling, including supervised and unsupervised approaches.
  • Strong data visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in SAS, SAS Miner, SQL, and Python programming languages, as well as good knowledge of Power BI tools.
