Job Summary:

The Communications & Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Communications & Marketing team at York University. This position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of communications and marketing strategies to promote the university's programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching and writing communications and marketing materials, including social media posts, email campaigns, and website content.
  • Collaborate with the Communications & Marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote university programs and services.
  • Assist in editing and proofreading communications and marketing materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide administrative support to the Communications & Marketing team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new ideas and strategies for communications and marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled as a York University student.
  • Previous work experience in communications or marketing is an asset.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and effective communications and marketing materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
