Job Title: Welder

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at NOVA SCOTIA LTD. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using welding, brazing, or soldering techniques.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work. You must have attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
