Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at NOVA SCOTIA LTD. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, including operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, and examining welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using robotic welding production lines
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work. You will be required to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
