Job Summary

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

The Elm Street Bartender is responsible for receiving and greeting guests, dispensing beverages and food in accordance with the hotel's policies and procedures, health and safety legislation, and licensing laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and take orders for food and beverages from guests and servers in accordance with relative legislation.
  • Provide speedy and accurate service of beverages and food.
  • Present guest checks in a timely manner and handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Accurately post charges to guest accounts.
  • Answer guest questions and direct them to someone who can assist them, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct oneself with a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guests, coworkers, and managers.

Requirements

  • Previous guest service experience.
  • Previous bartending experience.
  • Good knowledge of mixology and wines.
  • Smart Serve Certification required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Flexible availability.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and bend.
