Job Summary

The Clinical Pharmacist IE plays a vital role in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services to clients. Reporting to the Regional Manager of Pharmacy Services, this position requires a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' medication requirements and therapy
  • Select and administer medications, ensuring optimal dosage and administration methods
  • Provide individual and group counseling on medication use and therapy
  • Participate in distribution services and collaborate with Pharmacy Technicians
  • Conduct staff in-services, daily rounds, and computer-based pharmacokinetic monitoring
  • Perform drug utilization reviews and contribute to the improvement of pharmaceutical services
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) or Doctorate of Pharmacy
  • Successful completion of Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada National Exam
  • Current registration and licensure with the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board
  • PhC designation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in multidisciplinary rounds and medication reconciliation
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with a Regional Health Authority
