Job Title: Customer Service Sales Consultant

At KUKA, we are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Sales Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for representing our company's Customer Service (CS) aftermarket products and services to new and existing General Industry accounts, Tier-1 suppliers, and Automotive accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively present CS products and services to customers, identifying proactive opportunities and developing long-term business relationships.
  • Travel frequently (up to 50%) to customer sites to sell CS products and services, including contracts, hardware, software, training, engineering services, and on-site support.
  • Identify potential new accounts, customers, contacts, and market opportunities, and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Generate accurate and technically correct quotations of the CS product portfolio, ensuring customers are informed of service rates, part prices, and service product offerings.
  • Collaborate with CS Managers to ensure qualified resources are identified to achieve successful completion of service orders.
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy, authorization, and supporting documentation, and verify customer and order information against previously obtained information.
  • Maintain accurate and complete data in Salesforce/SAP/other IT systems, including Asset Information, Competition Information, Lead Information, Opportunity Status, and Quote Information.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales/IM/CS team to determine service sales strategies for individual customer accounts, and provide feedback to improve customer relationships.
  • Monitor quotes, sales, and project status to track aftermarket sales performance and ongoing project activities, and notify management of benchmarks.
  • Ensure capture of repeat/renewal business by proactively offering recommended Spare Parts, Field Service, Service Contracts, Software, Engineering, and Training throughout the life cycle of each robot.
  • Forecast aftermarket sales volumes and assist in strategic planning activities, adhering to the Quality System and participating in continual improvements.
  • Understand and follow safety regulations, and identify safety concerns, supporting the Finance department in the payment process.
Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of customer service fundamentals for face-to-face and phone contact with customers, and prior experience using Salesforce, SAP, or similar Customer Relationship Management and ERP software.
  • Prior sales experience is a decisive advantage, with understanding of all phases of the sales process.
  • Results-oriented with a strong dedication to meeting customer expectations and schedules, closing capabilities, and ability to travel within the USA with frequent overnight trips.
