About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Inventory Analyst to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of daily production transactions from raw to ready-to-eat manufacturing processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in daily process order transactions, working closely with the production team to determine corrections to be executed in MES (inventory control system)/SAP.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with the production team to understand root cause drivers of variances and required resolutions to be communicated to Operations & Finance teams.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Run daily performance reports to validate completeness of transactions and financials accurately reflect actual performance on the floor daily.
  • Process Improvement: Leverage opportunities to educate hourly/salaried team members on the correct transactional process to be followed when significant transactional errors occur.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide ad hoc finance department support and requests as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Post-secondary education in a finance/business/data analytic related program is required.
  • Experience: Manufacturing/costing experience in an ERP environment is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytic and advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide suggestions and recommendations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial functions.
  • Tools and Technology: Familiarity with SAP is an asset. Advanced knowledge of MS office.
