Job Title: Profit Centre Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Profit Centre Manager to lead our business operations and drive commercial growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase sales, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key customers, and develop strategic plans to drive growth and revenue.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Profit Centre, ensuring efficient use of resources, effective inventory management, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team, setting sales targets, providing coaching and training, and evaluating performance to drive results.
  • Financial Management: Analyze financial reports, develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional service, and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Marketing and Communications: Develop and execute marketing plans, manage branding, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of company assets, including equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Education: College and/or University degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of wholesale distribution experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, and a proven track record of driving growth and revenue.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract, proficiency in Microsoft Office software, and ability to learn and operate relevant software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Software Skills: Experience using Trend and Eclipse.
