Internal Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Gastroenterologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide full scope of practice as a Gastroenterologist, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Participate in call rotation and provide support to your own site and other sites in the Western Zone as required.
- Be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for professional responsibilities and quality of practice.
- Operate in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health.
- Participate in teaching medical students and internal medicine residents and fellows.
This is a full-time position with flexible vacation time. Compensation is fee for service, and annual income will depend solely on your own clinical output. Specialists receive call stipends and other incentives as available through the Master Agreement of Nova Scotia.
QualificationsCandidates must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or eligible to take the Fellowship Exam in Internal Medicine. Must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
