Job Summary:
Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council Education Authority Ltd. is seeking qualified teachers to implement curriculum and school programs in accordance with Alberta Education guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Responsibilities:
- Implement KTCEA curriculum and school programs in accordance with Alberta Education guidelines
- Teach students from Kindergarten through Grade 12
- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education Degree
- Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same
- Ability to adhere to Alberta Education's Teaching Quality Standard
- Previous teaching experience not required but would be an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of First Nations language, culture, organizations, and communities preferred
- Appreciation for and interest in working within a land-based learning environment
Working Conditions:
- RCMP/Police Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check (formerly Child Welfare Check, CWIS) submitted prior to commencement of employment
