We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Strategist to join our team at Forge Consulting Group. This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in finance or accounting, along with 7-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. They will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal budgetary reporting requirements, and overseeing the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local, provincial, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
  • Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • University Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint accounting and project management software is considered an asset.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
