Job Summary:

The Laboratory Logistics, Inventory, and Safety Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the George Brown College Prosthetic and Orthotic Programs. This position is responsible for managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring the safety of the laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate the distribution of materials and supplies to various departments within the college.
  • Identify and mitigate potential workplace hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and students.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the effective operation of the laboratory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field, such as business or medical office administration.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a technical or ordering/stock environment, preferably in a prosthetics and orthotics setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 23 kg or 50 lbs.
