Security Concierge Job Description

FirstService Residential is a leading property management firm in North America, specializing in Property Management, Front Desk Security Guards, Cleaners and Superintendents.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Concierge to join our team. As a Security Concierge, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients, residents, contractors, and visitors to our properties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and clarify residents' needs and desires, answer questions, give directions, and instructions.
  • Remain calm under pressure and act quickly to resolve issues.
  • Manage and screen messages to ensure prompt response to client inquiries.
  • Schedule access for authorized vendors to provide services within units.
  • Maintain guest privacy and organization reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Stay up-to-date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
  • Enhance department and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Ensure all safety and access control procedures are maintained to create a safe work environment.
  • Provide protection to clients, residents, and property of the buildings we serve.
  • Observe floors and stairways to ensure they are clear of debris, obstructions, and fire hazards.
  • Enforce client rules, regulations, municipal, Ontario, and Canadian laws, and assist police and medical staff when required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, residents, contractors, and visitors to our properties.
  • Perform routine property patrols of all levels of building, parking areas, and perimeter, and respond to emergencies and fire alarms.
  • Follow up with daily documentation, daily occurrence log, incident reports, and front desk software as required.

Requirements:

  • A valid Ontario Security License is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with completion of college-level courses in Business/Hospitality or Police/Security Foundations being an asset.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients, residents, contractors, and visitors.
