Starlight Investments, a leading global real estate investment and asset management firm, is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President, Development to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Starlight's Canadian development projects, primarily consisting of multi-family purpose-built rental projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans for development projects, aligning with the company's goals and growth objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of development and investment professionals, including project managers, planners, architects, city and government officials, and other key personnel.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of development projects, including site acquisition, project planning, design, approvals, and final delivery.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors and industry partners.
- Provide oversight and guidance as it relates to the creation of project budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including zoning laws, building codes, and environmental requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in real estate investment with at least 5 years in a leadership role related to managing Canadian residential development.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and team management.
- Strategic thinker and creative problem solver with a commitment to excellence.
- Leader who possesses excellent project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as superior financial acumen.
