Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Engineering Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will support our Project Delivery Teams to execute the day-to-day development, establishment, and implementation of BIM in Parsons Canada offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver customized and configured solutions on top of industry core products in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector.
  • Collaborate with a highly engaged team of technical engineers, modelers, and designers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions to fulfill internal and external requirements.
  • Perform the role of a Subject Matter Expert for software development internally and externally.
  • Participate in agile development process, including daily scrum, sprint planning, code reviews, and quality assurance activities.
  • Support solution development and deployment activities, including delivery, acceptance testing, deployment packaging, and user-support.
  • Create documentation as appropriate for solutions developed.
  • Provide progress and performance updates to BIM Manager on a regular basis.
  • Support the setup, development, configuration, establishment, and automation of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for Project use.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development.
  • Extensive experience with industry products like AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, and Dynamo.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying C#.Net Web applications and Desktop (WPF) applications.
  • Hands-on experience on AI application in AEC industry.
  • Experience with Autodesk Design Automation.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Waterfall and/or Agile.
  • Strong experience with customization of Civil3D, Revit using APIs.
  • Experience building and executing Autodesk scripts.
  • Experience either from a consultant or Contractor Environment.
  • Experience with ISO and UK BIM Standards.
  • Experience in North America is preferred but not essential.
Desired Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess excellent oral communication skills with an ability to form effective relationships with Project Delivery Team, Client, and Contractor under time pressure.
  • Possess the ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.
