About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Nursery Labourer at KS Nurseries Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure optimal growth and development
  • Perform weeding tasks to maintain a healthy and weed-free environment
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to promote healthy growth and shape
  • Mix and prepare soils to meet the specific needs of our plants
  • Plant bulbs and seeds to ensure a diverse and thriving plant collection
  • Pot and re-pot plants to provide a suitable environment for growth
  • Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings to expand our plant collection
  • Report signs of insect or disease damage to ensure prompt action is taken
  • Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs to facilitate transplanting
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a healthy and thriving environment
  • Clean work area to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
Work Environment

As a Nursery Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work
