Compliance Officer

As a member of the Capital Market Surveillance team within the Compliance department, you will play a crucial role in monitoring security transactions and Firm communications to ensure compliance with applicable policies, industry rules, and regulations.
The team is responsible for monitoring security transactions and Firm communications, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with Société Générale's policies and procedures.
You will participate in the development, testing, and implementation of new surveillance scenarios and minimum standards, as well as participate in quality assurance and reasonability testing of surveillance controls.
Additional responsibilities include reviewing trade surveillance alerts, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders for investigation and resolution, and contributing to the preparation of management metrics and reports.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of compliance programs.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1-3 years of experience in trade surveillance, general compliance, or financial services are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data analysis tools are highly desirable.
