About the Position

As a Landscape Construction Labourer, you will engage in various physical activities related to the landscape gardening industry. This includes planting trees, grass, and gardens; laying driveways and patios; building walls and fences, and more. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality in all projects and ensuring safety on-site at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective Communication: Communicate daily with the Foreperson and crew members about tasks, schedules, and concerns.
  • Physical Demands: Perform heavy lifting and labor-intensive tasks with a positive attitude.
  • Weather Conditions: Tolerate various weather conditions and work outdoors.
  • Pre-Shift Preparation: Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time with appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Task Execution: Understand and complete tasks as instructed by the Foreperson, including equipment setup and daily preparations.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a neat appearance and be polite to all onsite visitors. Operate power equipment safely and responsibly, ensuring proper fuel usage.
  • Reporting Incidents: Report any damaged tools or equipment to the Foreperson.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Good command of the English language (verbal and written) with excellent communication skills.
  • Driver's License: Valid G driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Reliability and Transportation: Ability to work long hours and have reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Safety Knowledge: Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Self-motivated, problem-solving, and a team player.
  • Respect and Professionalism: Respectful to staff, clients, and on-site safety protocols.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
