Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is a key member of the VON team, responsible for providing high-quality, client-centered care to individuals and families in their homes and communities. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing and implementing care plans, and providing education and support to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess client needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct client care, including physical assessments, symptom management, and education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Document client information and care plans accurately and thoroughly
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Current registration with the provincial nursing regulatory body
- Canadian Nurses Association certification in Community Health Nursing (an asset)
- Experience in community health nursing (an asset)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
