Job Description
In this role as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents with various needs, including those diagnosed with Alzheimer disease or other dementias.
- Demonstrate genuine interest and respect for residents, focusing on their individual needs and preferences.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans that promote resident well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
