About the Role: As a Radiology Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment, taking high-quality images of patients, and providing exceptional patient care. This is a permanent part-time position, working in our busy Magnetic Resonance Imaging unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various types of medical imaging equipment, including MRI machines
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and secure
- Take high-quality images of patients, following established protocols and guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Provide excellent patient care, responding to patient needs and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Radiation Technologist program or equivalent experience
- Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO)
- Valid CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
