Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging Specialist

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging Specialist to join its esteemed Department of Medical Imaging. Located in affiliation with Sinai Health, the University Health Network, and Women's College Hospital, this esteemed division provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional services in cardiopulmonary transplantation, airways and asthma, pulmonary hypertension and chronic pulmonary embolism, interstitial lung diseases, oncology, and acquired and congenital cardiac diseases.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of imaging modalities, including CT scans, MRI scans, X-ray units, ultrasound units, PET-CT scanners, and PET-MRI scanners. Additionally, they will perform thoracic interventions and participate in both teaching and research activities within the department.
Candidates must possess an MD or equivalent degree and be board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), or an equivalent international body. They must also have fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Radiology or equivalent specialized training with a strong clinical background in thoracic imaging.
A demonstrated interest and prior engagement in research and teaching are expected. The successful applicant must be licensed, or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
