Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Staff II at the Huron Lodge. As a key member of our Nutrition Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service to our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents and guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking, baking, and plating
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and dishwashers
  • Restock and maintain inventory of food and supplies
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma combined with a Food Service Worker Certificate from a Community College and as recognized by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects
