We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wind Power Site Area Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our wind farms in Ontario West. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind power generating equipment, while also maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our wind farms, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including environmental and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of personnel and the public.
- Collaborate with our Canadian Region Senior H&S Advisor and Engie NA Renewables H&S Team to implement risk-based programs and prepare emergency plans.
- Communicate regularly with ENGIE NA company representatives, including the Head of Renewable Operations Canada, VP of Operations, and Asset Management.
- Monitor budget variances and prepare long-term budget forecasts.
- High school diploma or technical degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or operations management.
- At least five years of experience in a related industry, with experience in industrial electrical equipment, power generation, and utility-scale equipment.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with experience in managing technical, operations, or maintenance personnel.
- Working knowledge of wind power generating equipment and technologies, including substations.
- Ability to certify compliance with permits and regulations as the authorized agent for the company.
- Physical ability to enter and work in confined spaces, as well as work at various heights and in adverse conditions.
ENGIE offers a competitive salary range of $119,600 - $175,260 CAD annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a registered retirement savings plan. We also offer generous paid time off, including wellbeing days, holidays, and leave programs.
