McLean Hospital is seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a per diem basis, working nights. As a key member of our interdisciplinary clinical team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric and medical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct ongoing psychiatric and medical assessments, case management, and psychopharmacological treatment, including prescribing medications and monitoring non-psychiatric medical conditions and medications.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Current or imminent unrestricted national nurse practitioner board licensure with prescriptive authority.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited National League of Nursing graduate school.
- License/Certification: Required board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).
- Minimum of 24 months experience in an adult inpatient psychiatric setting or related experience.
- Experience in an Emergency Room is recommended.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary clinical team.
- Good organizational skills, ability to multitask, and flexibility to manage irregular or extended hours.
- Ability to work independently and proactively address problems, and also work as a member of a multidisciplinary integrated team.
- Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
